"Sacred Rice Blessed by Mt. Fuji, Japan's Most Sacred Peak"

The Story

Isehikari, known as "the rice of the gods," miraculously survived a typhoon at Ise Jingu Shrine in 1989 from just two remaining stalks. Cultivation of this sacred rice began in 2022 in rice paddies overlooking Mount Fuji near Lake Kawaguchi. Every step—from salt-water selection of seed rice to harvesting and traditional rack drying (hazakake)—is carried out by hand. After three years of dedicated cultivation, this rice was transformed into sake in 2024 with the collaboration of Mai Morita, the first Miss SAKE. While mass production is impossible, this bottle was born from rice grown with painstaking care and devotion.
